A hand planer, or wood planers, is a carpentry or woodworking tool used to shave down flat wood surfaces to reduce their thickness and make them smooth and even. The Dewalt DCP580 cordless electric hand planer has a Brushless motor with long runtime and 30,000 cuts per minute to remove wood quickly. Depth adjusts from 1/256-inch (0.01 mm. approximately) to 5/64-inch (2 mm.) maximum. Precision machined groove in front shoe allows for edge chamfering.
Requires additional Dewalt batteries to operate, and blades.
