A come along is a ratcheting winch or hoist that is used for various heavy-duty pulling and lifting applications, including rigging, construction, tree services, debris removal, installing pumps and motors, pulling vehicles from ditches, and fence tensioning.
This manual winch can operate at a maximum capacity of 3 tons. As a single line hoist, the cable can cover up to 20 feet; with its double line configuration, it reaches 10 feet.
